30th September 1967: BBC Radio 1 makes its first broadcasts in London, England.

 

October is a month when many English singers have birthdays, among them we are going to emphasize the birthdays of these two singers: 

- 9 th October 1940 John Lennon's birthday. He was a world-famous singer who was a member of the well-known band The Beatles. This is one of his best known songs, which he did alone when The Beatles band broke up. 

- 8 th October 1985 Bruno Mars's birthday. He is an American singer who most of you will know as he is still singing today. One of his songs is the following, do you know it, have we seen it in class? Listen to it and I'm sure it will be familiar to you. Enjoy it!
